WoW Burning Crusade Instance Farming Gold Guide
Below is an overview video and detailed walkthrough on how to easily make gold with farming Burning Crusade instances while power leveling friends' alts. I'll be comparing two different BC instances and farming them for 30 minutes each. As shown in the Burning Crusade Gold Farming Guide video below, expect to make around 600~700g an hour depending on you and your server.
- Overview: I'll be spending 30minutes in Burning Crusade's Hellfire Ramparts and Mana Tombs.
- Suggestions: While farming, I suggest having a decent amount of empty bag space, be repaired, have potions, food and water, blare some music, and most importantly, have fun.
WoW BC instance Farming Gold Guide - Hellfire Ramparts
- The first place I'll be farming for 30 minutes is Hellfire Ramparts.
- Ramps is extremely short with a lot of condensed mobs that are very easy to pull and in my opinion one of the best for leveling lowbies from around 58 all the way up to around 64. Most classes should have no problem being able to solo the packs. Ofcourse some classes may be more ideal than others. A simple way to make up for the this, is have the lowbie heal as much as possible if they can without pulling aggro.
- Each run should only take around 10 minutes. Make sure to have the lowbie you're powerleveling pick up all the items for you. After you're finished have them either vendor everything or send you them. Most lowbies are even willing to pay you per run or hour as well. So while you're helping them, you're also inturn helping yourself by making a decent amount of gold. I suggest checking your server's Auction House first but it's likely that vendoring the blue rare items will net you more gold overall than disenchanting. Also, be nice enough to allow the lowbie to keep anything they can use. Alright, so after around 30 minutes or three runs I was able to get about 319g worth of stuff.
- Items farmed in 30 minutes from Hellfire Ramparts:
Enchanting Mats - 149g
Total approximate value - 319g
Cloth - 113g
Vendor trash - 22g
Looted gold - 30g
Misc - 5g
WoW BC instance Farming Gold Guide - Mana Tombs
- My second favorite place to powerlevel lowbies is Mana Tombs.
- My second favorite place to powerlevel lowbies is Mana Tombs. This instance is a bit more difficult so you should be extra careful here. Again some classes and specs may be more ideal than others but any should be able to do this. Just like Ramparts, this instance takes around 10 minutes. The mobs however are higher level and while towards the end it may be slow, you can level a lowbie up to 68 so they can do Northrend. A much faster route is having them do Netherstorm quests from 67-68. After about 30 minutes I was about to get around 317g worth of stuff.
- Items farmed in 30 minutes from Mana Tombs:
Enchanting Mats - 108g
Total approximate value - 317g
Cloth - 102g
Vendor trash - 38g
Looted gold - 29g
Misc - 40g
WoW BC Instance Farming Gold Guide - Auctioning the Farmed Materials.
- Ok, now that I'm done farming, it's time to DE the greens, vendor the trash, and list everything. If you don't have Enchanting just ask a friend, guildy, or in the trade channel. Be sure to tip them.
- For Enchanting mats and cloth, I prefer to list them for 12 or 24 hours. These are some of the most sought after mats, so everything should sell within a day at most.
WoW BC Instance Farming Gold Guide - Total: Two 30 minute farming sessions
-
Hellfire Ramparts = 319g
Mana Tombs = 317g
Total = 636g in 1 hour!
WoW BC Instance Farming Gold Guide - Final Notes
- The largest portions came from Enchanting mats and cloth. Then vendored greys and blues. Finally, gold looted from mobs and misc. items. I'll list exact numbers of everything on my website.
- While I only showed Ramps and Mana Tombs in this video, you can powerlevel your friends in any instance you like. These were just two I prefer but I also like Coilfang's instances as well. If you get bored, switch it up and try some different ones out.
- So there you have it. Four great farming spots for those of you who just hit 80, hate dailys, don't have professions, or are just looking for a way to get some extra gold and help out some friend's alts or lowbies at the same time.. Just remember, wherever you choose to farm, have fun while doing it. Pull too many mobs, own someone, blare that music, talk to friends, whatever makes you have a blast, do it and always enjoy what you're doing.
- Finally, World of Warcraft isn't just about making gold and really should be the smallest part of your playtime. I hope this BC Instance Farming Gold Guide will help players get rich but at the same time free up farm time so you can actually enjoy the game for what it is meant to be; fun! So, don't sit at your computer 24-7 just to make gold. Go out, raid, PvP, whatever, just make sure to have fun (^_^)v.
Good luck and I hope you enjoyed this guide. If you have any suggestions, comments, or feedback, please make a post on our forums.
